Nora: A Doll’s House – Event Information

About the show

Nora is the perfect wife and mother. She is devoted, beautiful and everything is always in its place. But when a secret from her past comes back to haunt her, her life quickly changes. For three days, Nora must fight to protect herself and her family or risk losing everything.

Henrik Ibsen’s brutal depiction of femininity caused outrage when it was first performed in 1879. This bold new version reframes the drama into three different time periods. The struggle for women’s suffrage, the Swinging Sixties, and modern times intertwine in this poetic, urgent piece that asks, “How far have we really come in the last hundred years?” »

Nora: a dollhouse will be performed at the Union Theatre, a venue that has served us since 1938!

Union House Theater invites our community of students, staff, alumni, friends and family to celebrate the final show presented by UHT at this venue and to wish the community well on the big move into the new venues of the arts and culture building in the Student area.

An amateur production in agreement with ORiGiNTM Theatrical, on behalf of Nick Hern Books
