Pretty Lou has brought together some of New York’s hottest talent to perform at their annual event to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.
Hot 97’s Pretty Lou has announced the return of their annual birthday and cancer research benefit concert with special guest Fat Joe on April 20.
The lineup also includes Dream Doll, B-Lovee, JI, Nems, CJ and Capella Grey, who will entertain guests at Irving Plaza, New York.
Pretty Lou personally reached out to the artists who performed on the fourth installment of the celebration. He put together a list of some of the best artists in town who were happy to support the cause and raise money in the fight against cancer. Other acts will be announced before the event.
The Terror Squad affiliate revealed he had a ‘mentor/mentee relationship’ with Fat Joe, who also plays ‘an important role’ in his support system throughout his battle with leukemia.
“This concert is a symbol of strength and unity in their respective battles with cancer,” Pretty Lou added in a statement. He also revealed that he used his annual benefit concert to raise awareness for his cause and rekindle his “fire to fight cancer and win”.
This year, Pretty Lou and her guests will celebrate her recovery while adding to the $125,000 the radio personality has already raised through her charity concerts. However, for Lou, the importance is to honor cancer survivors and demonstrate that “cancer can be beaten”.
Tickets for the benefit concert are on sale now through Ticketmaster. Check out the details of the announcement posted by Pretty Lou below.
