Tragedy has once again struck the Dancing Dolls community of Atlanta.

Diana Williamsthe owner of Dancing Dolls, took to Facebook to post a heartbreaking tribute to a member of her dance crew from the hit show ‘Bring It,’ which aired for five seasons, confirming that Dyshea Upshaw died following an accident.

“One of my dolls is gone. I don’t understand and I’m not well!! Lord Jesus,” she wrote. “She was bold, always trying to uplift herself and everyone in the dollhouse. Moreover, she supported and inspired her sisters.

“I will miss your laugh, I will miss your smile,” she added.

Many social media sent their condolences after the news went viral.

As previously stated, another Dancing Doll Shakira Gatlin, February 19, was fatally shot in a house on February 2 in the 100 block of Barnes Street in Jackson, Mississippi. Jackson police say Gatlin was shot in the head while an underage male was “mishandling a weapon.”

Authorities questioned the young man, and he said the shooting was accidental

Gatlin’s mother, Erica Robinsonshared the news of her daughter’s death on Facebook.

“WHY!!!! WHY!!!!! I can’t get a break!!!! I just buried my husband NOW I HAVE TO BURY, MY BABY!!! They deserved to LIVE…IF HE PLEASE PUT THEM GUNS TO DAM!!!She didn’t [deserve] his!!! Shakira Gatlin mom [loves] you so much!!”

Gatlin’s passing was particularly difficult for Robinson because the grieving mother had lost her husband to gun violence. Derrick Robinson, 40, was shot dead in Jackson on September 14, 2021.

DD4L was founded in 2010 by Williams. The dance company specializes in hip hop, tap, ballet, jazz, pom poms, majorettes and other dance forms. The organization was originally based in Jackson, but has since expanded to Birmingham, Alabama, and Atlanta.
