Doll’s Head Trail in Atlanta, Georgia is one of the most fascinating trails in the capital, if not the entire state. This hiking trail is probably one of the scariest trails out there, largely due to the artistic renderings you’ll find scattered along the way. Because art, doll parts, and other “trash” turns frequently, this hiking trail apparently never ends. So every time you visit, you’re likely to find something new.
In these uncertain times, please keep safety in mind and consider adding destinations to your bucket list at a later date.
The Doll’s Head Trail in Georgia is located in Atlanta and features a 1.5 mile loop that many hikers take to get out into nature but also get a little scared off.
This trail is open year round, but it is suggested to explore it from April to September for some of the best weather and trail conditions.
This ever-rotating art trail is nestled in Constitution Lakes Park and features a wealth of recycled art and “trash cans,” including a collection of doll parts and heads—hence the trail’s name.
The work of local carpenter Joel Slaton, this trail was designed as an art project with discarded doll parts and other trash found scattered throughout the area.
Since Slaton encouraged visitors to collect and bring in their own found art, this trail never ends and continues to be a hidden gem in the area.
While some hikers find this trail extremely rewarding in terms of reusing trash, others find the dollhouse parts oddly scary.
However, you really can’t complain about a hiking trail that is not only particularly fascinating, but also cleanses the area!
So check out the Doll’s Head Trail in Georgia for a chance to see why this spooky, fascinating, and eerie hike is an unfinished art project.
