Doll drawing at the Wilder Memorial Museum this Saturday | Way of life

Candace B. from Kansas visited the museum this week and wrote, “Wonderful museum and outstanding informative tour!! Highly recommend visiting this interesting museum.” These are very welcome thoughts, and we appreciate them.

We had several rounds with an interest in tracking family members. Candace has family records traveling by covered wagon from Strawberry Point, Kansas in the 1850s. she.

Someone will have the chance to have their name drawn for our first doll this summer on Saturday, July 23 at 12 p.m. She is a charming porcelain doll dressed in a lovely summer dress. Strawberry Point businesses released photos of her for the museum. If you are interested in being in drawing, come to the museum and take a tour. Your ticket will be placed in the basket for the July 23 draw. There will be additional, very select dolls offered to designs in the future as a special incentive to visit the museum.

Come to Inger Park at Strawberry Point on Tuesday, July 26 for a Bluegrass Band concert by the Anderegg Family Band sponsored by the Wilder Memorial Museum. Parking is very convenient and there is no charge to attend the concert. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and settle in for some great entertainment. The museum will serve ice cream for a donation.
