Disney is releasing a special-edition Hawkeye star Kate Bishop doll with accessories like her bow and quiver of arrows.
Disney just released a special edition doll from Hawk Eyeof Kate Bishop, with all her accessories. Hawk Eye premiered on Disney+ and is Marvel Studios’ newest series. The series is only six episodes long, but still had a huge impact. Hawk Eye marked Jeremy Renner’s first solo project since donning the bow and arrow in the MCU’s early days with 2012’s The Avengers. The show revolves around Clint Barton/Hawkeye facing enemies from his past as a Ronin, seen during Avengers: Endgame. Hawk Eye was very well received by Marvel fans, earning an impressive 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
One of the show’s standout characters was Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop. The character was highly anticipated before arriving in the MCU, and Steinfeld’s performance did not disappoint, with many fans believing she played the character to perfection. At the end of the series, Kate becomes her idol’s official partner, becoming a hero by helping Clint Barton defeat Kingpin and the Tracksuit Mafia. Fans can’t wait to find out when Kate’s next MCU appearance will be, as Steinfeld’s young hero had a huge impact on Hawk Eye audience with her bubbly personality, goofy humor and healthy mentor-mentee relationship with Barton.
Now, WDWNT reports that a special-edition Kate Bishop doll has landed at the Disney Store. The doll is a full replica of Steinfeld’s character on the show, wearing the purple and black costume Bishop wore throughout the series. The doll also comes with accessories, including Kate’s bow, a quiver of arrows and her utility belt. The doll is part of the exclusive series that captures Marvel’s superheroes in exquisite detail and is available for $49.99. Check it out below.
Although the doll is an exact replica of Bishop’s look in Hawk Eye, it’s not entirely accurate when compared to the character’s comic book origins. A recent Instagram post showed early concept art for Kate Bishop’s design. Marvel’s director of visual development Andy Park originally created Bishop’s look without the long-sleeved top, and with a slightly different front design and material. While not exactly like his comic book origins, Park’s initial design remains more faithful to Marvel’s original source material.
Along with Bishop’s MCU debut, Hawk Eye brought back a familiar face in the form of Yelena Belova. Played by Florence Pugh, the young assassin returned to the MCU after her debut in Black Widow, seeking revenge on Barton, after learning that he was responsible for the death of his sister Natasha Romanov. Already a fan favorite, Marvel fans were especially excited when Yelena struck up an unlikely friendship with Bishop. There’s no doubt that a Kate Bishop-like figure created for Yelena would be in high demand, as the pair’s odd yet lovable dynamic proved to be one of the biggest talking points. Hawk Eye. For now, though, fans can at least own their own version of the all-new young Avenger.
